Local Pizza With Island History 島の歴史とともにあるピザ

Pizza Doraku opened in 1990 as one of the first pizza restaurants in Miyakojima. At that time, supermarkets were limited and frozen pizza was not common.

Many locals had never seen pizza before, and some customers did not even know how to eat it. Still, the owner continued making pizza, introduced delivery by motorbike, and slowly helped bring pizza culture to the island.

More than 30 years later, Pizza Doraku remains a beloved local restaurant, continuing to serve the community it helped shape.

ピザ道楽は、1990年に宮古島で初めてのピザ専門店のひとつとしてオープンしました。当時は今のようにスーパーも多くなく、冷凍ピザなどもほとんどない時代でした。

宮古島ではピザを見たことがない人も多く、食べ方がわからないお客様もいたそうです。それでも店主はピザを作り続け、バイクでの配達も始め、少しずつ島にピザ文化を広めていきました。

30年以上が経った今でも、ピザ道楽は地元の人に愛され続けているお店です。
